Terms of Use

1. What Jaisalmer Market is

Jaisalmer Market ("the Platform", "we", "us") is a platform that lets shop owners run their shop online: a shop website, online orders, rate list, khata and billing. Each shop gets a free web address (a subdomain) such as yourshop.jaisalmer.store. The Platform is currently in beta. By creating an account or using the Platform in any way you agree to these Terms; if you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

2. Beta service

The Platform is an early-stage product under active development. This means:

  • Features, screens and workflows will change often, and the product may go through major redesigns or full revamps without prior notice.
  • Features that exist today may be changed, moved, renamed or removed. Occasional bugs, downtime or data migrations are part of a beta service.
  • Continuing to use the Platform after any change means you accept that change and the then-current version of these Terms.

3. Your account

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create a shop account.
  • You must give accurate information about yourself and your shop, and keep your login details safe. You are responsible for everything done through your account.
  • One person may manage multiple staff users; the shop owner remains responsible.

4. Your shop and your content

  • Everything you publish (shop name, products, prices, photos, announcements) is your content. You own it, and you are fully responsible for it being accurate and legal.
  • You give us a licence to host and display that content so we can run your website. We claim no other rights over it.
  • You must have the right to sell what you list, and comply with all laws that apply to your shop, including licensing, food safety, weights and measures, and consumer protection rules.

5. Orders and payments

  • The Platform does not process payments. Payment for orders happens directly between the customer and the shop, by cash, UPI or however both sides agree.
  • We are not a party to any sale. The contract of sale is between the shop and its customer. Product quality, delivery, refunds and disputes are strictly between them.
  • Delivery charges shown on a shop website are set by the shop owner, not by us.

6. Free subdomains

  • Every shop gets a free subdomain based on its shop name. Subdomains are provided free of charge and remain part of the Platform's domain.
  • We may change, reclaim or refuse a subdomain if it infringes a trademark, is misleading, offensive, reserved, or is being misused.

7. Acceptable use

You must not use the Platform to:

  • sell illegal, counterfeit, or prohibited goods;
  • publish false, misleading, hateful or infringing content;
  • spam, harass, or collect other people's data without consent;
  • attack, overload, probe or attempt to break the Platform's security.

8. Pricing, changes and no warranty

The Platform is currently free to use. We may introduce optional paid plans or features in the future; anything that costs money will be clearly marked, priced upfront, and will apply only if you choose to buy it. Features that are free today may change, move between plans, or be discontinued. The Platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We work hard to keep it fast and online, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. We recommend keeping your own records of khata and sales.

9. Taxes and GST

Shops are solely responsible for their own tax compliance, including GST registration, invoicing, collection and filing where applicable. A shop may display its GSTIN on its shop website through Settings; we do not verify GSTINs and we do not calculate, collect or remit taxes on any sale.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or remove a shop that breaks these Terms or the law, or that harms the Platform or its users. You may stop using the Platform and ask us to delete your shop at any time by writing to us.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or disputes between shops and customers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to ₹1,000 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, whichever is higher.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan have exclusive jurisdiction.
